Brunswick House Terms and Conditions

    Please read these conditions carefully. When you book a room or rooms with us you are entering into a contract, which binds us in various ways.

    1. Definitions
    The Guest House means Brunswick House We/Us refers to Brunswick House and you refers to the person booking with us and whose name is on the confirmation of booking sheet, sent by email or post

    2. Booking Agreement
    A booking is a legally binding contract. This contract comes into effect when we accept a reservation from you. We accept a reservation when we have confirmed the reservation and received any payments owed. We will send the booking confirmation either by email or post. Any balance owing must be paid at check-in or check – out as directed by the Guest House. You must be able to enter into a legally binding contract and be over 18yrs to make a booking.When a booking is confirmed, a reservation number is given. This number must be retained for access to the booking details if cancellation or amendment is necessary.

    3. Prices
    All published rates include VAT where applicable (and local taxes) at the current rate.  Rates are per room per night except where customers choose to have individually tailored packages such as rooms with ferries included. Rates do not include other costs you may choose to incur during your stay (unless otherwise stated). Rates quoted are correct only for the specific number of guests, nights and dates shown. Should you change the number of guests, dates or room nights, then the rates are subject to change. In the rare case that due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot deliver your requested accommodation, you will be offered alternate accommodation.

    4. Arrival and Departure
    Check-in times are between 16.30 and 19.30 hours as specified on your booking confirmation. Alternative check-in times may be available if you speak to us in person to make alternative arrangements. Such check–in times are subject to someone being available to greet you when you arrive. For persons failing to arrive within these times and who do not contact us in person it will be assumed that their room or rooms are no longer required, cancellation fees will apply, and the room or rooms may be re-let to other customers. The Check-out time is 11.00 hours on the day of departure and is also specified on your booking confirmation.

    5. Amendments and Cancellations
    The usual booking deposit is the equivalent to the cost of one night’s accommodation. If you cancel your booking within 48 hours of the scheduled check-in time and date of arrival as printed on your booking confirmation a charge equivalent to the cost of one night’s accommodation will be levied. If you need to cancel your booking more than 48 hours before the scheduled check-in time a full-refund will be given unless otherwise stated. To amend or cancel your booking, you must call us directly using the number contained within the booking confirmation.

    6. Terms and Conditions of Your Stay
    We have some standard rules that are designed to ensure that we comply with regulations relating to matters such as fire, health and safety, and to enhance the comfort and wellbeing of our guests. If you would like to check our conditions of stay please contact us. We reserve the right to terminate Your Booking immediately without being liable for any refund or compensation where you engage in unacceptable behaviour that causes a disturbance or nuisance to other guests.

    7. Liability
    Other than for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or misrepresentation, our total liability to you is limited to the price of the Booking and to the fullest extent permitted by law all warranties are excluded and in no circumstances will we be responsible for any indirect or special damages. We will not be liable for failure to perform to the extent that the failure is caused by any factor beyond our reasonable control. You are responsible for any damage or loss caused to us or our property by your act, omission, default or neglect and you agree to indemnify us and to pay us on demand the amount reasonably required to make good or remedy any such damage or loss.

    8. Data Protection
    We may process the information you provide to us for the purposes notified by us to the Information Commissioner. By making a Booking, You consent to this processing of information.

    9. Additional Terms and Conditions
    a. Pets: No domestic pets are allowed. Guide dogs and all assistance dogs are welcome at Brunswick House.
    b. Ferry Bookings: We can arrange guest house and ferry packages using Red Funnel ferries. Rates quoted include both ferry crossings and room or rooms booked. These packages can only be booked in person with Brunswick House. Separate booking and cancellation terms may apply for these packages.
